CHEMICAL PEELS

WHAT ARE CHEMICAL PEELS?

Exfoliation is a vital skin process that removes the outermost layers of dead, dry skin cells to reveal fresher, younger skin underneath. Chemical peels are a proven method of exfoliation that can be customized to your precise needs. Despite the addition of many other exfoliation treatments today, chemical peels continue to be a top choice for patients that are looking for safe and consistent results, and the ability to tailor the depth of the exfoliation to the amount of correction they want.

Chemical Peels are classified based on how deeply they penetrate the skin layers and include Superficial, Medium-Depth and Deep Peels. The deeper the penetration the greater the overall exfoliation and cellular regeneration. The depth of the peel is determined by several factors that include acid type(s), percent concentration of the acid(s), the pH of the solution, as well as the time on the skin. Schedule a COMPLIMENTARY consultation with one of our providers to see which chemical peel is right for you.

CHEMICAL PEELS OFFERED

  • VI Puryfing Precision Plus Peel: Pigmentation issues PLUS acne and/or acne scarring? Enjoy two treatments in one with this medium-depth chemical peel! Take on current breakouts and the scars and pigmentation they leave behind. This superior purifying and smoothing acne treatment clears away dead skin cells and excess oil to speed breakout clearing and purify pores to prevent breakouts. By targeting melanogenesis—the production of melanin—at the source, this treatment helps minimize stubborn post-acne scars and uneven tone for a brighter, smoother surface.

  • TCA Modified Chemical Peel: This medium-depth peel penetrates a little further into the skin by removing cells from both the epidermis and upper part of the dermis. This type of peel reduces small wrinkles and acne scars, as well as evens out skin pigmentation and tone. The medium peels involves Trichloroacetic Acid (TCA) with a mixture of Glycolic Acid to soothe and calm the face, while also targeting dark spots, sun spots, superficial lines and wrinkles, for a more youthful result.
